Setting up a proxy in Android

Setting up a proxy in Android
There may be several reasons why you will need to put a proxy for an internet connection on Android. Perhaps the Wi-Fi connection works only through a proxy, or simply to ensure anonymity on the network. In any case, if you are reading this manual, then you need an Android proxy and let's figure out how to install it.

Setting up a proxy on Android for a Wi-Fi connection

So, to set up a proxy for a Wi-Fi connection, go to:

Settings;
Wi-Fi;
Long press on the desired Wi-Fi network;
In the menu that opens, select: Parameter Management;
Show additional parameters;
Check the box: Show additional parameters;
Proxy > Manually.

After that, enter the IP and port in the appropriate places.
If you have a proxy with login and password authorization, then the first time you visit any site, an authorization form will appear in which you will need to enter the login and password from the proxy.

If you want Android to use a proxy for any specific addresses (sites), enter them in the "Proxy for" field, separated by commas. For example, if you want Android to access only proxy6.net and example.com through a proxy server, you must enter the following text in the field
